Prayer Requests:

Rest for Josué and me this week in our last week of singlehood!
Continued healing (his feet, my stomach and hip)
Final wedding details
The wedding this Saturday
Peace for Josué and me
Ceremony (fluency—Pastor Jorge Ahuite)
Special music and band
My comprehension and speaking Spanish in the wedding
Photography/ video (clearness)
Decorators and food/ cake preparation
Cooperation from flower girl (niece Greysi), ring-bearer (Abed) and Bible-bearer (nephew Jahasiel)
Shirley, who comes to study and live with Mama Luz soon
Abed’s parents allow him to stay with Mama Luz; money to pay for his schooling and room and board

Update:

I made it! 32 years and 3 months single and pure! I can’t believe the wedding is only six days away! Everything is paid for, planned, and ready to go. I’m practicing the ceremony and I hope to rehearse it with everyone, so that I understand the Spanish fully.

Abed wore his wedding clothes last week, the first time he’s ever dressed up; he didn’t like it too much (it made him hot—Josué was complaining as well!), and he ended up falling asleep in church! But he and Josué both looked handsome! My wedding dress only lacks the finishing touch; I like it—simple and pretty.

I’m still tired and have stomach problems and I’m not sure why (emotions? physical problem?), but I’m trying to eat right and walk daily. Josué is doing better, thank the Lord. We appreciate your prayers. We are feeling the nerves and need extra patience with one another.

Great news: Enough money came in to cover Shirley’s needs for this year, so that’s a blessing from God! Her room is already built and is now being readied for her stay.

This week I took Abed to VBS and helped out a little, as there were a couple hundred children. The team came to the club Sunday morning and performed a skit of Daniel and the Lion’s Den that they had done at the VBS. Josué and I were lions, but as we hadn’t practiced, our antics made the angel laugh. The kids enjoyed it.
