My Daddy
My dad is in the hospital after an operation to remove his kidney and a cancerous mass. We were praying that the surgery had removed all infected cells, but yesterday's results show that the cancer is outside the kidney in the fatty tissue and a couple lymph nodes. My dad and stepmom, who is a faithful and positive support, consulted with an oncologist and he will begin treatment in the next week or two, after my dad recovers more from the surgery. He goes home soon. Although this is sad news, my dad seems to be at peace and hopeful; he told the oncologist that "we look forward to the journey." It is a great shock for me and I am taking it pretty hard, being far away (although I talk to them daily). However, I know God is with my dad. The other morning in my devotions with God, He told me that God will be glorified. Later that day, my dad said the same. He is in the hands of the best Doctor, and I must trust Him.

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2Corinthians 4:16-18. We love you Rachel. Dad and Denise
