God's Promise
Isaiah 43: 1-5
This is what the Lord says--He who created you, O Rachel, He who formed you: Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior...you are precious and honored in My sight and I love you...Do not be afraid.
Psalm 27: 1-6
The Lord is my light and my salvation--whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life--of whom shall I be afraid? When evil advances against me to devour my flesh, when my enemies and my foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then will I be confident...For in the day of trouble He will keep me safe in His dwelling; He will hide me in the shelter of His tabernacle and set me high upon a rock...at His tabernacle I will sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the Lord.
God does not promised that I will not pass through hard times, but He has promised to be with me through them and not let me be harmed. So in tough situations, I will praise the Lord.
